About Your Hosts
Tom McRae, MD
After practicing Geriatrics and doing academic research on Alzheimer’s disease at NYU Medical Center, Dr. Tom McRae joined Pfizer, the pharmaceutical company, to work on the development of drugs for the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease, and he has continued his career at Pfizer, now working in other areas of drug development. Like many of our guests, Tom spends his weekends on Houck Mountain to get away from the hectic pace of the city and the pressures of a corporate world. A Renaissance man with a unique sense of hospitality, and my partner and husband for over 20 years ( a testament to his patience) Tom will make anyone at our Cottage feel at home, not to mention a good person to have around if you happen to catch a cold while hiking through our woods in the middle of winter…
